Our dog training services cover:
- Achieving Nice Lead Walking: Say goodbye to the frustration of being pulled around on walks. Our training will help you and your dog enjoy peaceful and pleasant walks together, free from the stress of constant tugging and pulling. We understand how challenging it can be when your dog does not walk nicely on the lead, making every walk a struggle.
- Achieving a Reliable Recall: The anxiety of your dog not coming back when called can be a real worry, especially in situations where their safety is at stake. Our training will give you the peace of mind you need. Imagine the relief of knowing that when you call your dog, they will come back promptly, ensuring their safety and your confidence in off-lead outings.
- All Things Puppy: Raising a puppy is a journey filled with joy and challenges. Our one-on-one sessions are designed to help you and your puppy navigate this crucial stage effectively. We understand the desire for a happy, well-mannered puppy, and we are here to guide you through every step, from toilet training to basic obedience.
- Adolescent Struggles: The teenage stage in a dog’s life can be a testing time. Behavioural issues may arise, leaving you feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about how to handle them. Our training is your lifeline during this challenging phase. We will provide you with the tools and strategies to survive and thrive, so you can enjoy a harmonious relationship with your maturing dog.
What to Expect in Your Dog Training Session:
- Personalised Training Session: When we say your training session will be tailored to your specific needs and preferences, we mean that we understand every dog and owner is unique. We will take the time to assess your dog’s training struggles, your training goals, and any specific challenges you are facing. This allows us to create a customised training plan that addresses your dog’s individual needs. It is all about providing you with the most effective and relevant training experience.
- Training in Familiar Surroundings: Our training sessions can take place in the comfort of your own home or a pre-arranged suitable location. This means your dog learns and practice their new skills in the environment where they spend most of their time. This familiarity can accelerate the learning process as your dog feels more relaxed and secure. Training at home or a familiar location also helps ensure that the training is practical and applicable to your daily life. Expect fun training games and techniques designed to target your unique goals and challenges.
- Post-Session Training Support: We understand that effective training does not end with the session itself. That is why, after each training session, you will receive summaries of the training methods we have covered. This documentation serves as your personalised training guide and reference material. It is designed to be clear, concise, and easy to follow, ensuring that you have all the necessary information at your fingertips.
- Supporting Your Training Journey: We believe in providing continued support beyond the training sessions. With access to email support, you will have the knowledge and guidance needed to continue your dog’s training journey successfully.

FAQ’S
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you train any dog?
Yes, dogs of any age and breed can learn new skills. Each dog training session is tailored to suit you and your dog.
How long will it take to train my dog?
The length of time to train a dog varies depending on what you would like to achieve and how much time you can spend on training your dog.
You may need multiple sessions to achieve your training goals. My 1-2-1 sessions start off by laying foundation training and build on these to achieve your goals. Spending just 15 minutes a day dedicated to training your dog is a great way to start. Short sessions help keep your dog focused and prevent them getting frustrated or bored.
What training methods do you use?
My preferred methods utilise positive reinforcement. This type of training involves rewarding (food, toys, or praise) your dog for behaviours we like. Positive reinforcement is a highly effective method for training dogs and builds strong bonds between you and your dog.
Can you help with specific dog behaviour problems?
Yes, we can assist with a variety of behaviour issues such as pulling on lead, not coming back when called and jumping up. If your dog is experiencing behavioural problems such as aggression towards other dogs, resource guarding or separation anxiety please visit our behaviour page here.
Do you offer group classes?
Unfortunately, we do not currently offer group classes. We do offer 1-2-1 sessions which are tailored to you and your dog.
What if my dog is not motivated by food?
If your dog refuses food in a particular environment they may be too overwhelmed therefore, we need to reduce the difficulty. We may also need to explore other food types as some may be higher in value.
Alternatively, if you dog is more motivated by toys, we will use play to help train the behaviours you want. There are many other reinforcers we can utilise in training such as:
- Verbal praise
- Physical praise (stroking)
- Sniffing
- Exploring
- Digging
- Opportunities to socialise
Do you come to me for the session?
Yes, the initial session is carried out in your home so I can observe your dog in their environment. Seeing your dog at home allows me to see how your dog behaves normally and if we can make any small changes to their environment to help you achieve your training goals.
As you progress through the training, we may meet in a pre-arranged locations to further your dogs training.
How much is a dog training session?
I offer different training packages to suit your individual needs. Once you contact me, I will discuss your training needs and recommend the best package to suit you and your dog.
